HOYTS Corporation – Online Manager
One of Australia’s most well known and certainly trusted family entertainment brands.
As the Online Manager,reporting to the Head of eCommerce, I was hired to deliver the HOYTS Online Transformation project.
The scope of the work was immense with redesign of the Cinema website, mobile site and native apps within an agressive schedule for the industry ie 6 months from guiding principles.
The HOYTS experience taught me that tools and process are part of it, but it’s the shift in culture that is sometimes required to get the most out of a project and it’s people.
Involved from day one meant I needed to be across the Business Case, Product Vision and liaise with internal stakeholders and vendors charged with delivery of concepts, solution design, functional specifications and ultimately delivery.
In essence I was the bridge between the Business and the internal Technology teams while engaging with an external agency using skillsets that would cover Project Management and Production management while adhering to User Centric Design philosophy.
